crowned Miss Black Louisiana
Talented
Teen 2011, I would firstly be
blessed, fortunate, and honored. I
would like to shed the light on
Childhood Obesity
and encourage
teens to be more active. I also want
teens to get involved with the
musical arts and inspire them to
follow their dreams. Through the
sound of my voice, rhythm of my
dance, and power behind my
monologues I want to set an example
for teens to do whatever animates them.With my platform being
childhood obesity I want to educate
people about the statistics and
rates of obesity. I am not trying to
make every teen fit into the
criteria of a certain weight limit.
I am trying to make a healthier
Louisiana and make sure teens stay
healthy.

I hope to open the
eyes of teenagers to the disadvantages
of becoming a teenaged parent and ways
to prevent pregnancies. As a teen
myself, I understand peer pressure. But
I have chosen to take the high road and
focus on academics, school activities,
and community service. Join me in
addressing this urgent matter that is
plaguing our youth!

I want
to
accomplish bringing youth to
Christ, birthing the desire
to achieve within them,and nurturing it. I
also want to teach love, and
peace with no war.I want my artistic
side to be a substitute for
the things I can not say--- things like my
poetry, my singing voice,
a monologue, a dance...---
anything that can help to
cast out the hatred that we
somehow have become infected
with. My prayer nightly
will be that I am doing my
job as MBL USA Talented teen
to make change and touch
someone upon ever encounter.
